Away from the hut you drive with your own car or you take a taxi until the next valley station - Schlossalm in 4km. Next to the hut are wonderful routes for ski touring, walks, hiking and biking. There is also a winter hike path which leads to the 1,5 km remoted Anger-valley! Next town for shopping is Bad Hofgastein in 3km. An alpine snack-bar is reachable in about 400m from here. Swimming lake in 4km. Spa 4km.

In summer it is ideal for swimming (lake with very clean water), biking, hiking, golf etc.
