Description:Just outside the village of Mendocino, ramble up a redwood forested country road to this small private detached cottage. This like-new studio has great atmosphere and natural light with an immaculate full bath including a tub, storage for your hanging garments, skylight, vaulted ceiling, wood and natural stone floors, and an oversized wood stove with firewood to keep you warm. The studio kitchenette area consists of a microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge. Furnishings include one plush bed for single or double and a table for two. Pillows, towels, blankets and comforters are all freshly washed before your visit. The studio will be crisp, clean, and warm upon your arrival. There is a lovely deck in front with parking outside your door. We are centrally located on the coast just outside the historic village of Mendocino, in close proximity to Little River, Caspar, Fort Bragg, California State Parks, beach and rivers. A leisurely scenic five minute drive, just over two miles, brings you to the heart of the Mendocino. Follow along the coastal route about another 15 minutes to Fort Bragg. This slightly elevated location is often bright and sunny above the sea level fog zone. We are a nature filled (deer, redwoods, turkeys, horses, huckleberries, frogs, quail, rabbits, seals barking from nearby rookery, etc.) walk to the ocean. For a longer excursion, hike or bike to Van Damm State Park, Big River State Park, or Pygmy Forests. Our residence is steps away from the studio and shares the same driveway. We strive for a peaceful zen home and property for our family and guests including shoe free zone on the wood studio floors. We do not fumigate, use pesticides or other toxic chemicals in or outside of the studio.
