The ecoNEST-guest rest, an eco-dweller's delight nestled in a forest of redwood & madrone 5 minutes from SPIRIT ROCK MEDITATION CENTER, borders open space for hiking & biking in West Marin's SAN GERONIMO VALLEY. This valley, only 45 minutes from San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, is a nature lover's paradise populated by artists, musicians, restaurants & environmental activists. The NEST is between Spirit Rock on one end & Point Reyes National Seashore (Inverness, Tomales Bay) on the other. We have hosted many guests with MULTIPLE CHEMICAL SENSITIVITIES (MCS), EI, or EMF/RF. The NEST is FRAGRANCE-FREE, chemical-free, MOLD-FREE, & does not use microwaves, smartMeters or WiFi. We have free cable internet. Floor-to-ceiling windows to the west, and doors and windows on 3 sides provide beautiful natural light & fresh air. We provide a HEPA EL Foust Air Purifier and use a HEPA Meile Vacuum. Always bring warm clothing for cool evenings, even when the days are hot. SEPTIC/WATER MINDFULNESS - We are on septic system. Please be mindful of water usage for showers & flushing. Please don't throw anything down the toilet except toilet paper. Please use the propane fireplace mindfully & shut propane heater before getting into bed and when leaving the NEST, even for short trips. We are in a HIGH FIRE AREA bordering open space. Please NO SMOKING of any kind on the property, and no candles or open flames. Shoes off at the door keeps the NEST free from one of the main sources of indoor pollution (your shoes). If you prefer not to remove your shoes, tell us so we can remove the *organic wool area rugs and keep the NEST clean for the next NEST guests. The nest is up a flight of steps so unfortunately at this time, we don't have handicap access. We live in a QUIET village in the forest. If you're looking for a relaxing time in a quiet and serene space, book with us. If you're looking for a place to play loud music and party, we're not your place. DOG GUESTS - Dogs fee: $20 extra/visit. Dogs accepted by approval. We provide lists to dog-friendly hiking trails, beaches, & restaurants where you can join your people on the patio or outside dining. NOTE: rates may be higher on weekend nights than weekday nights, and higher for a single Saturday night stay. COOKING: We do not have a cook stove or microwave in the NEST. If you want to cook, please contact me before booking so we can discuss options for cooking. If you love the sounds and smells of the fresh Pacific Ocean, you will be at home here. Bayhouse Hana is away from it all and in the middle of Hana at the same time. It’s just a few steps to the sandy beach at Hana Bay and the commercial center of town is a short walk.Bayhouse Hana is a family owned vacation haven on the shoreline of Hana Bay, just a short walk to the sandy beach and Hana Bay Beach Park. The Bayhouse is situated centrally in Hana, so you’re within walking distance to the Hana Ranch Store and Restaurant, the Hasegawa General Store, the Hana Post Office, the local collection office of the Bank of Hawaii, the Hana Pit Stop (gas station), Hotel Hana Maui, the Congregational, Catholic and Latter Day Saints churches, the Hana Community Center which houses community service organizations and the outdoor community ballpark, basketball court and tennis courts.
