The living areas of this grand old lady as well as three bedrooms offer sea views. A sea facing veranda across the width of the house is ideal for outdoor living while a library/2nd lounge with authentic fire place provides a cosy space in less than perfect weather conditions. The villa has been furnished to reflect the colours and clean lines of the ocean.Open living spaces characterize this home with kitchen, lounge and dining room all flowing on to veranda with spectacular views. Main Bedroom: (Queen) offers 45 sq meters of space and en-suite with bath, shower, wc, bidet and basin. Bedroom 2: (Queen) has private patio and en-suite with shower, wc and basin. Bedroom 3: (Twin or King) has a choice of single or double bed. Bedroom 4: Offers single beds and ample space - ideal for separate teenage pad of children's play area. Bathroom 1: En-suite to bedroom one. Bathroom 2: En-suite to bedroom 2. Bathroom 3: Shared by Bedroom 3 & 4. Bathroom 4: Guest Cloak with wc and hand basin. Additional sleeping is available in the 2nd lounge with sleeper couch. A Camping cot and extra mattress are also available for our younger guests that still needs to sleep with parents. All bedrooms are equipped with hairdryers, clock radios and ample cupboard space. An electronic safe is available in bedroom one for safekeeping of precious items. An additional study nook offers place to work for those that can not escape the office completely. Please provide own wireless communication. All linen is provided - you only need to bring your own beach towels. Care has been taken to decorate this house with original art. Due to excellent ventilation smoking is allowed.Although this is a self catering house, in-house catering can be provided on request for special occasions at extra cost. Our in-house chef from Ryn's Kitchen is available to provide for your birthday celebration or wedding anniversary. A welcoming pack at an extra cost is also available.The low veranda barrister makes this property not ideal for small children.OutdoorsVeranda offers seaviews and ideal for entertaining. This area is quipped with portable barbeque and garden furniture. A private patio leading from bedroom 2 provides space for quiet moments. A double lock up garage is available for safe keeping of two vehicles as well as sports equipment. The house has 24 hours armed response to ensure a safe stay.Immediate area:Western Cape enjoys mild winters and pleasant summers, rainfall is moderate throughout the year and there are refreshing sea breezes. Golden vineyards, sun-drenched orchards, beaches, silent forests, sweeping lakes and beautiful views make this region a delight, not to mention the wealth of entertainment and industry that Cape Town offers.There is something for everyone from shopping to fishing and adventure trails, swimming and sunbathing on the False Bay Coast. From Muizenburg to Kalk Bay is a busy main street with market stalls, antique shops, art galleries as well stalls on the pavements. The most notable feature of False Bay must be the golden, sandy beaches lapped by the clear waters of the Indian Ocean. The area has a fabulous selection of great restaurants specializing mainly in delicious seafood.The long Muizenburg and Fish Hoek beaches are but two of the safest in the Cape for bathing and bodyboarding and, when the wind picks up, hobie-cats and windsurfers take to the waves. From July to October whales come into False Bay and loll around just 50 metres from the shore in preparation for mating and giving birth. Huge schools of dolphins are also sometimes seen. This valley, only 45 minutes from San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, is a nature lover's paradise populated by artists, musicians, restaurants & environmental activists. Please NO SMOKING of any kind on the property, and no candles or open flames. Shoes off at the door keeps the NEST free from one of the main sources of indoor pollution (your shoes). If you prefer not to remove your shoes, tell us so we can remove the *organic wool area rugs and keep the NEST clean for the next NEST guests. The nest is up a flight of steps so unfortunately at this time, we don't have handicap access. We live in a QUIET village in the forest. If you're looking for a relaxing time in a quiet and serene space, book with us. If you're looking for a place to play loud music and party, we're not your place. DOG GUESTS - Dogs fee: $20 extra/visit. Dogs accepted by approval. We provide lists to dog-friendly hiking trails, beaches, & restaurants where you can join your people on the patio or outside dining. NOTE: rates may be higher on weekend nights than weekday nights, and higher for a single Saturday night stay. COOKING: We do not have a cook stove or microwave in the NEST. If you want to cook, please contact me before booking so we can discuss options for cooking.
