Description:In the 1930's what once used to be a farmhouse of Maria Alicia (Pau 1876-Massarosa 1975) Princess of Bourbon, was transformed by Italian designer Maurizio Tempestini (Florence 1908 - Ronchi 1960) into a sporty hunting lodge for the new owner Mr. Gustavo Palestrino who's daughter Maria had married in 1944 Francesco one of the 10 sons of thePrincess. In 1947 it was bought by the family of the actual owners who left the house unchanged thus preserving both the work of one of the first celebrated Florentine designers, and the simplicity and sporty atmosphere of the house. Five minutes walking distance from the village of Camaiore. Half an hour by car to Lucca, forty minutes to Pisa, one hour to Florence. Fifteen minutes away from the beaches of the 'Versilia' coast. One hour car drive to Porto Venere whon Shelley and Byron loved the most. Plenty of excursions to plan and organize. Excellent local food and good wine. A wonderful place to relax and sunbathe in !
