Description:Welcome to this medieval Chateau, a former stronghold of the Templars and whose origin dates back to the 14th Century. A long driveway up through the trees leads you to the Chateau which sits in a prominent position overlooking the beautiful French countryside. The accommodation available in the Chateau makes it ideal for large groups and lends itself to large family vacations, weddings and special celebrations. The Chateau was renovated as a small hotel and is now available to let on a self-catering or catered basis with full exclusivity of the Chateau and the grounds. The reception rooms include a large reception hall, study, library and two living rooms. These are spacious with lots of character. These rooms and the bedroom accommodation are linked by a walkway to the former stables which have been fully converted to provide a large semi-professional kitchen, a dining room and snug as well as a bar and additional dining seating area. In total there are up to 22 bedrooms available and each have their own en-suite bath or shower room. There is a 14m x 8m swimming pool which is south facing and has a shower-room and pavilion room. There are plenty of sun recliners and parasol for those who love to sit in the sun or shade! For the more energetic, there is a Tennis Court and a Boules pitch. There is a large outdoor dining area with barbecue facilities. The Chateau is a 25 minute drive to the beautiful Dordogne river-side village of Bergerac which has an International Airport. This Chateau is great for large parties and functions. There are three large receptions rooms in the main Chateau including a large entrance Hall, a library, and a formal Drawing Room. There is also a small study area. The converted stables which are joined to the Chateau by a walkway provide additional reception rooms with a Dining Room, Sitting Room and Bar which are ideal for wedding and anniversary parties. There is also a semi-professional kitchen which is well equipped with all the modern facilities you could need. There is also a small kitchen area off the library back in the main Chateau building. There are 22 bedrooms in total and all of them have en-suite shower or bath rooms. They are set out over 3 levels and are connected by an impressive and original stone spiral staircase. It is possible to rent from 10 to 22 of the bedrooms depending on your group size and needs. In all cases, full exclusivity is given of the Chateau and its facilities and grounds. The owners live on site in separate accommodation and are able to provide assistance and further services should guests require but otherwise they will ensure complete privacy is given to all guests.
