Description:The Depto, as we call it, has been completely remodeled. It's a swanky one-bedroom apartment on the ground floor of an historic building (casa colectiva Bernardino Rivadavia... which even has its own Wikipedia page). We knocked down a wall to open the kitchen up to the living room and desk space. Just beyond the kitchen is a patio/breakfast room surrounded by windows. The bathroom is spacious and the fresh polished cement floors feel great on bare feet. The best thing about the Depto though is its location. San Telmo is the most authentic neighborhood in Buenos Aires. It's got a bohemian artsy vibe to it. Defensa, the main street, is packed with antique shops, cool boutiques, rustic eateries, and street vendors and performers galore on Sundays. The apartment comes with a pre-paid cell phone and a land line for local calls, WiFi, speakers for connecting an iPod or MP3 player, a TV and DVD player (with movies), an AC, two gas heaters, a fully equipped kitchen, a microwave, a filtered water pitcher, a hairdryer, guidebooks, maps, books, adaptors for electrical devices, linens (for all four beds), towels, and friendly hosts!

Both have double beds, so the apartment sleeps four. It's on the fourth floor (3rd floor in Argentina) of a beautiful 100-year-old building. With original tiled floors, vaulted brick ceilings, a huge skylight in the kitchen, comfortable furniture, and funky decor... this apartment just feels good. Plus, it's in a great location. We're just 2 blocks from Plaza Dorrego, the heart of San Telmo and 2 blocks away from Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires' most modern neighborhood. The apartment is on the border between two neighborhoods (and two worlds, really): Polk Street is a hip spot for nightlife, restaurants, galleries, cinemas and shops the Tenderloin is a 'colorful', intensely urban neighborhood. There are lots of characters on the street at any given time. I do not feel unsafe living here, but I pay attention—as one should in any big city setting. Although the building is extremely quiet, there can be a significant amount of street noise. If you are bothered by city noise and energy, this may not be the place for you. No parking except paid garages - but because of the central location you won't need a car anyway. Two musts: no smoking and no pets. As for me...I'm an intrepid explorer, well-traveled and happy to help facilitate a fellow traveler's exploration of San Francisco. Description:This beautifully decorated apartment is more of a home than a vacation rental. Located just 2 blocks from Plaza Dorrego (San Telmo's main square) and 2 blocks from Puerto Madero (the most modern neighborhood in Buenos Aires), this apartment is perfectly located for those wanting to discover the old and new, hip and authentic, beautiful and gritty sides of Buenos Aires. It's a loft with one bedroom upstairs (with a king-size bed) and an office space five steps above the bedroom that has a double futon where two more people can sleep. The living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom are downstairs. There's also a huge private terrace above the entire apartment. Four people can sleep comfortably though there are no doors between the sleeping space, only a row of curtains for privacy. The apartment comes with sheets & towels, a pre-paid cell phone and a land line for local calls, WiFi, speakers to connect to an iPod or MP3 player, a TV and DVD player, a fully equipped kitchen, a filtered water pitcher, two gas heaters, two ceiling fans, a hairdryer, guidebooks and maps, novels, magazines, movies and CDs, and a great vibe throughout. Oh, and the view from the terrace is lovely. We've been renting apartments in San Telmo since 2008. We love meeting new people and we live right there in the same building (we're in the dome). Most likely, we'll have you up for some wine and to hear all about your trip. Plus, we're always here if you need/want advice on places to eat, things to do, etc.

Description:RELAX TO THE SOUNDS OF THE OCEAN Located on the Kona coast, minutes from the downtown area, this property is as close to the ocean as you can get, without getting wet! We are approximately one mile from the central downtown area, away from the traffic and noise, but close enough to walk to. This peaceful one bedroom condominium is in a complex of 131 units on three floors, and this unit is on the third floor (so there is no one walking or making noise above you) above the oceanʼs crashing waves where the deck overlooks the ocean. The feel of the space is surprisingly private, since it is right on the ocean side. You access the condo by two flights of stairs there is no elevator. On a clear day, you can see Yellow Tang fish. Oftentimes pods of Spinner Dolphins hang out nearby. The Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park is a two hour drive away, with beautiful beaches only minutes from here. There is a local beach a short walk away. The condominium complex is quiet and centrally located. Itʼs about a mile to walk into town to go to the local farmerʼs market, buy a Hawaiian outfit or have a meal at one of the many restaurants and enjoy the many nightlife offerings. Inside the condo, ceiling fans and the tropical trade winds keep your personal space cool, there is no need for air conditioning. The condominium is fully furnished with all linens, towels, a fully equipped kitchen with electric range, dishwasher, toaster oven, coffee maker, and filtered water. There is a washer/dryer in the kitchen area for your personal use. There is cable television, internet access and a dvd player. The living room is adjacent to the kitchen and has a sliding glass door to the outdoor lanai. There is a small dining table and chairs in the living area, as well as a table and chairs on the lanai. The master bedroom has two single beds that can be converted to one king sized bed if you prefer. Two futon mattresses can also be set up for extra sleeping surfaces. The condominium can sleep up to four guests at once. Property-wide there is free wifi, gas grills, a tennis court and a solar heated pool with a hot tub. This lovely unit is on the third floor where the view is unobstructed and spectacular. The stairs are wide with hand rails on the side. The owner of the condo uses it throughout the year, so there is a second bedroom that is closed off and locked. This is located right on Alii Drive, there are taxis and airport shuttles available, and you are close enough to walk to most amenities. This is OCEANFRONT - there is nothing in between you and the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean, so if you want to be close to the water, it's hard to get any closer than this! Description:This peaceful, charming, well-cared for, sun-filled townhouse with everything you will need for a fabulous DC-area vacation or business trip can be yours! I've priced it below market because it comes with two great pussycats who will need your care including their daily walks! I’m seeking kind, gentle, responsible, loving soul(s) can be person/couple w/older child who loves/knows cats & is will gladly spend a minimum of 30 minutes a day caring for them. If that is you, please continue, and I’ll give you the details at the end. While I'd ideally like one person/couple, I'm open to two situations: a two week stay and a one week stay. My home: This townhome in a lovely, quiet, tree-lined, very safe townhouse neighborhood in Montgomery County’s most affluent suburb, close to Washington DC fabulous museums, restaurants and entertainment. Friendly, walk-around area nestled in trees. Great tennis courts, close shopping, transportation. Very spacious 3 bedroom, 3 baths. You will have access to the main floor and upstairs. Basement is occupied by a gentle, very quiet NIH scientist whom you will rarely see. Laundry Room/Basement: Washer/dryer is located there & easily accessible. Main Floor: Cozy & comfy modern décor, wood floors w/lovely carpets. Recessed lighting. Granite kitchen counters/modern appliances/very well-stocked eat-in kitchen, bay window, filtered water tap. Lots of books including cookbooks. WiFi throughout house. DirectTV/movies flat-screen TV with video/DVD player. Sitting room next to kitchen Deck and Zen Garden: French doors in back lead to beautiful wooden deck surrounded by trees, quiet, lovely, replete with table, chairs and umbrella overlooking rock garden with gurgling water feature, flowers/small trees where you will be soothed and relaxed after a long day as you enjoy a glass of wine, or listening to the birds in the morning with your coffee/tea! Sit in the garden glider for two. Dining room has view of deck and yard. From kitchen watch the jays, cardinals, finches, and doves eat and bathe if you'd care to to feed & water them as I do. New windows throughout house, screen doors allow breezes front to back through the house. 3rd Floor: MBR is very large, inviting, beautiful, uncluttered, with extremely comfortable Queen sized mattress. 600 count Egyptian sheets, thick absorbent towels, blankets, and down pillows. Small BR w/Xtremely comfy bed is available but cat comes with it at night. Neighborhood: Dedicated parking space in front. Walk to great shopping center (restaurants, food shopping, drugstore) that adjoins development. Bus line 2 minutes away, fabulous restaurants and the best shopping in DC within 5-10 minutes, Washington DC 25 minutes by car/metro has major museums, entertainment, restaurants. NIH 10 minutes. Pussycats: two 15 year old boys,domestic medium-haired, sweet, friendly, happy, and in great health, no meds. They have been leash-trained since kittens. They can roam free in the fenced in backyard, exiting through their cat door. Otherwise they are on leash w/you or leashed or in cage out front, with supervision. They are the loves of my life. They must be brought in at night. Smokie is completely at home by himself but may enjoy snuggling w/you at night if you bring him upstairs (won’t come uninvited), Skeezix should be put in the small bedroom w/closed door. I feed only raw food & little canned, no dry. Therefore, must be fed twice daily. Litter is pretty much a non-issue as they do their business outside. References required.
