Description:Villa Awang Awang means floating in the space between heaven and earth the perfect description for our villa, perched on the edge of a ravine with breathtaking views of the sacred Petanu river and the lush tropical forests. Like many others, we fell in love with the 'Island of the Gods' and her people and feel very privileged to have been able to lease from the local owners, the land on which to build this peaceful haven. The Location Villa Awang Awang is a 50 minutes drive from the airport and is situated in the cool highlands 5km from Ubud famous for its fine art galleries, restaurants and rich cultural life. The 10 minute drive is through stunning scenery of lush ricefields, mountains and the sacred volcano Gunung Agung towering in the distance. The House The villa is designed by Balinese architect Ir. Ida Bagus Wiadnyana according to ancient traditions with the correct alignments toward the Holy Mountain. Traditional materials are used throughout to harmonize with the environment alang alang thatched roofing, hand made terracotta floor tiles, stone and marble, all crafted by local artists. The house is cooled by fans and natural cross breezes over water gardens. Entry is via the traditional Balinese gate way protected by stone guardians and along a garden path through tranquil lotus and water lily filled fish ponds. Antique Javanese doors open onto the main living area with its soaring alang alang roof and spectacular views from the open terrace. Bedrooms Antique Javanese doors open from the living area to three bedrooms. The main bedroom contains a queen sized bed made from old teak wood and an antique Javanese batik table. A dressing room leads to the marble bathroom and outdoor garden shower. The second bedroom has an antique Javanese queen sized bed while the third contains two single beds. A large terrazzo and marble bathroom with a deep tub, outdoor shower and double vanity is shared between the two rooms. Lower Level Stairs lead down to the open dining area, with views across the lush valley. The dining table is constructed from sections of an antique Javanese house and comfortably seats up to 10. The kitchen has granite bench tops and is well equipped with a refrigerator, oven, gas cook top and modern appliances and utensils. Antique Javanese doors lead to the fourth bedroom which contains a queen sized bed and a marble/terrazzo en suite. Sliding glass doors open onto the terrace. Bottom Level Steps lead down to the sun deck and the infinity edge swimming pool with its stunning backdrop of tropical forest. Furnishings The house contains many unique pieces of antique furniture from Java and Lombok and is decorated with traditional weavings, carvings, statues and antique shadow puppets. There is a television, CD player, VCR, DVD and a small collection of CD'S and books. Night Life World famous music and dance performances, jazz cafes and fine restaurants are just 10 minutes away at the villa we can only offer you the sounds of nature, the cascading river, frogs croaking, crickets chirping and the scent of frangipani and night jasmine. Due to the open plan of the house, you may see the glimmer of a fire fly, hear the call of our beautiful blue and pink spotted Tokay who resides in the roof or receive the occasional visit from a frog. If you are not 'creature friendly' this may not be the place for you. The Village and Staff The villa is part of the village of Melayang and our guests are always warmly welcomed at the many temple ceremonies. Staff can assist you with the sarong and sash required to attend ceremonies. As in all Balinese houses, the Gods have their home within our home. Every morning our local priest presents offerings to the Gods both inside the house and at the various house temples in the garden. All our staff are from Melayang or the adjacent village of Bintang Kuning, (Yellow Star.) They are also accomplished carvers, painters and musicians. Minimum stay: LOW season: 2 nights, HIGH season: 5 nights, PEAK season: 7 nights.

Description:The 1st of our Vacation Homes in Pattaya is a single storey building and comprises of 4 Double Bedrooms with En Suite Bathrooms, 3 of which have showers and 1 has a bath with overhead shower, En Suite Dressing Rooms are also in 2 of the Bedrooms. There is a Living Room / Dining Room, Open Plan Kitchen, Large Private Swimming Pool and Garden. Three of the bedrooms are in the main structure of the Villa and the 4th is in the gardens overlooking the swimming pool. This bedroom has a seating area outside the entrance door with a Jacuzzi which flows down the waterfall and into the swimming pool. This Luxury Villa is set on 800m2 of landscaped gardens. The Swimming Pool is Approx. 20m x 6m and has a Jacuzzi with a waterfall flowing back into the Swimming Pool. The Garden is well lit for sitting out in the evening and is grassed with landscaped flower beds & tropical plants. A bamboo Sala in the right hand corner of the garden is perfect to lie in the shade during the day, and a tiled Sala next to the Swimming Pool with a table and chairs is a great place to sit and have breakfast, lunch or dinner. A large Sala above the swimming pool has the 4th bedroom and bathroom with a table and chairs, it is a well shaded area to sit in the daytime or to enjoy the evening with a few drinks and maybe you would like to step into the jacuzzi and just relax with a cold beer. There is a bar on the terrace adjoining your Vacation Home with bar stools and a table and chairs if you would like to sit and listen to music while you have a glass of wine & wait for the Steaks or Lobster you have got cooking on the large brick built BBQ on the patio area. Perfect to prepare some of the great seafood you can get from the local market or some fine imported steaks from the nearby supermarket if you have friends round for lunch or dinner at your holiday home in Pattaya. Your Holiday Rental Villa is fully furnished with TV’s and DVD players in all the Bedrooms, and the Living Room. There is surround sound music in the Living Room and Dining area with Leather Sofa’s, Granite Coffee Table, Desk & Mini Bar. In the Dining area there is a Granite Dining Table with handcrafted solid teak legs and 8 chairs, perfect if you would prefer to sit inside to have your dinner with the Air conditioning on. You can use the free wireless Internet service to stay in touch with friends back home or to research any trips you would like to make. We have mobile telephones with local Sim cards so that you can either call friends back home cheaply, find information on any of the many local attractions we have in the area, call to us if you need anything or call our local taxi service to pick you up at the Villa. The Bedrooms have safes in the wardrobes to keep your valuables and bedside tables with reading lamps. We have a number of books at the Villa which you are welcome to borrow. All the furniture is handmade from teak wood with marble flooring in the living room and dining area and tiled floors in the bedrooms. The kitchen is made from teak wood with granite surfaces and has an oven & hob, microwave, rice steamer, toaster, water heater, drinking water cooler, and a fridge freezer plus all the necessary pots, pans, plates, cutlery and other kitchen utensils you may need. Your Luxury Pattaya Villa is fully Air conditioned and we also have desk fans available if you prefer. The Villa is beautifully decorated, and we maintain the Villa constantly to ensure it always looks its best for our guests. Our Daily Maid comes to your Pattaya Holiday Home in the morning or early afternoon, whichever suits you best, she makes the beds and cleans the bathrooms and other rooms, replacing the complimentary tea & coffee and the complimentary toiletries, collects any laundry you want doing, food orders, grocery shopping lists etc. There is an undercover area at the front of the vacation home to park a rental car or motorbikes alternatively we have our local taxi service who can come to the Villa anytime you call and for a very reasonable price you can travel anywhere you wish to go if you don’t like to walk or use the local motorbike taxi’s. Billing for the taxi can be paid each trip you make or at the end of your Villa Holiday.
