Description:Banks Road VHR oceanfront/beachfront house was built in 2004. The house was built with an open, bright, happy concept to accommodate up to eight people comfortably. The living/dining room combo has a 25 foot cathedral style pine tongue and groove ceiling with huge windows looking out onto a beautiful view of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. It also has a wonderful wood fireplace and a leather full size sofa bed. There are maple hardwood floors throughout the house. The kitchen features butcher block counter tops and a refinished antique farmhouse sink with the Gulf view. There is a huge deck that has three separate entrances and includes an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. There is a first floor bedroom with two twin antique wrought iron beds. Next to that bedroom is a full bathroom including shower. The laundry area is located in the hallway adjacent to the bathroom. The second floor is fabulous! This is an open loft style bedroom with a king size antique wrought iron bed and a futon bunk bed that has a full size bed on the bottom and a twin on top. This is one big loft area and the beds are all in the same room together. Great for adults or kids. There is a large bathroom with an incredible tiled steam shower. On a rainy day after a hike, run or ride, this steam is wonderful! Great views from the many windows too. Our house sits 300 feet in from the road on 17 acres. Very private. There is a hiking path (about 15-20 minute walk 400 meters/1200 feet) to our beautiful beach. All this just one mile from the town of Inverness which has shopping, restaurants, a public beach with cafe and a new golf course, Cabot Links, that opened in July 2011.
