Description:4 four bedroom home away from home in the warm and friendly Central American country of Belize. Ie28099m not going to tell you much about Belize, Ambergris Caye, or San Pedro, or why you should come here. I figure you made that decision and now youe28099re looking for a place to stay to suit your needs. And maybe, my place will do just that. Youe28099ll decide. r n r nIe28099m often here alone, but Ie28099ve also had a houseful of kids and grandkids. My home can sleep up to twelve (if they know each other pretty well). So, heree28099s a picture I took of my house last year and another taken from my veranda of our salt water pool with the sea on the horizon and a friendly iguana in my flower garden. My place is one of four private homes about five miles north of San Pedro Town on the island of Ambergris Caye. Each one is clustered around this beautiful pool. See it? Sometimes the water is so warm, I done28099t want to get out. We call our little community Los Encantos, and it sure is peaceful here. The wonderful barrier reef is less than half a mile from our front door! r n r nBut let me tell you about my home. From my front door, it is 20 steps to the pool and 80 steps to the beach and the Caribbean Sea. There are two floors. There is a large tv set with cable TV and a DVD player for movies or listening to your favorite music. Wireless computer access is also available. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, freezer, stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, and even a good microwave oven. And do try our Belizean coffee. e2809cIte28099s good from the first to the last drop.e2809d r n r nAs you can see, I like the color orange and colorful Mexican tile. Theree28099s a bath with shower off the great room and another down the hall. And thate28099s how you get to the two upstairs bedrooms. The first has a comfortable king size bed, and I forgot to mention there are individual air conditioners in each room. The second bedroom, in the rear of the house, has two queen- size beds, offering possibilities for a couple with one or two kids. The veranda is where I spend a lot of time enjoying the hummingbirds and orioles that come to my feeder. r n r nOn the first floor level, is my large 14-foot x 24-foot master bedroom suite -- a most comfortable and pleasant place to escape for reading and quiet time away from the e2809cmaddeninge2809d crowd. The bed is a California king. And look at my colorful and large bathroom!And here is a surprise! There is a small and cozy attached apartment on the lower level with its own private entry. r n r nThe apartment includes a small living room with a queen-size sleeper couch, a small bedroom, with twin beds, and a private bath and kitchen. Teenagers love it! r n r nAnd then theree28099s the beach and the private Palapa pier. Are you a bone fisherman? The flats in front of our house are just about the best there is for bones, unless you take a boat with a guide to the mangroves. About three years ago, one of my sone28099s college friends caught a 15-pound Barracuda off the pier casting a Johnson Silver Minnow. Not to be outdone, my son caught an 8-pounder just minutes later. The Palapa at the end of the pier is a good place, with a cup of coffee, to start the day and watch the sun come up. If the clouds are right, the colors of the sky where it meets the sea can be spectacular. r n r nAnd, as Ie28099ve said earlier, I assume youe28099re coming to Belize and Ambergris Caye and know what you want to do when you get here. May I suggest that you buy the latest edition of Fodore28099s e2809cBelize and Guatemala Travel Guide.e2809d It will tell you all you need to know about Belize before you get here. r n r nIf you are scuba divers, there are dozens of qualified PADI dive shops to choose from. Many of my friends and family have been pleased with the convenience and quality offered by Genie, friendly owner of Coral Divers. He's nearby. He makes it fun. r n r nI go fishing for snapper and small grouper. A great way to spend the day and have fresh fish for dinner. Francisco e2809cPanchoe2809d Verde, my fishing guide, is like family. His boat is clean and he knows that e2809cto catch fish, you gotta go where the fishes are.e2809d r n r n

The dining area has a large, rectangular table with benches to accommodate up to ten people eating at the same time. The family area has a comfortable seating arrangement along with a flat-panel television and stereo system. r n r nJust off the central gathering area is another set of glass doors leading out to the pool area. The entire group will end up hanging out here, as many of your meals will be prepared on the outdoor barbeque and also because the pool is located in this area. Swimming, surfing, snorkeling are all activities which can be pursued here and more than likely there won't be anyone else around! r n r nRecreational activities abound in Costa Rica and there are many things to do either within a short drive, or for the more adventuresome the volcanoes are a few hours drive away. Description:Casa Lucky Monkey House 2 is located just a short 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk to the beach in Tamarindo, made famous by the classic surf flick Endless Summer. From the property perched on the hill above Tamarindo Bay, the ocean is visible beyond the seascape sunset. The entire top floor is a matrimonial suite, complete with Jacuzzi tub, a California king, and some living room furniture. nThe other three rooms on the second floor have queen size beds and the convertible room on the lower level has a pull out standard size bed. There is a separate parking in the back and a private entrance. nThe dishwasher, refrigerator, and stove with oven are all stainless steel. All the appliances, cooking and serving items have been tastefully chosen. A laundry room with washer/dryer and laundry sink open off of the kitchen with a half bath at the base of the stairs. An arched doorway with relief ceiling leads from the living area to the hall and the base of the majestic stone stairway that curls around itself as it leads to the second and third level. nThere are three bedrooms on the second level. Two identical rooms with queen size beds share a bathroom between them and each open on to a rounded patio overlooking the tropical forest foliage. One has an ocean view overlooking Tamarindo Bay and the pool. The forest foliage to the back and side of the house is often frequented by a friendly group of monkeys. nUp another flight of stairs is the fabulous master/matrimonial suite, which makes up the entire third level of the house.
