Walking distance to the Old Town and the beach is less than 3 minutes. But the return trip is longer because of the climbing upstairs. As an alternative, guests can use taxi which is very cheap and costs ca. 6 EUR for 4 persons. Bus tickets for 4 cost the same. Other options are to use car or scooter.
