Neighborhood cultural destinations such as the famed St. Augustine Church, the Mardi Gras Indian Backstreet Museum, Armstrong Park and the New Orleans African American Museum of Art are within strolling distance. The French Quarter, Jackson Square, Cabildo, Cafe Du Monde, Frenchmen Street's jazz clubs, bars and restaurants are a short walk away. Treme is centrally-located and nearby attractions such as the New Orleans Museum of Art in City Park, the hip Bywater and Marigny neighborhoods, and Downtown New Orleans' Arts Warehouse District, Superdome and casinos are easily accessible by car and bike. Description:Come and enjoy my very charming home while you are enjoying the Big Easy! My property has been recently renovated and includes a brand new contemporary bathroom, kitchen and dark hardwood floors throughout. The kitchen comes fully stocked with plate, glass and silverware, along with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. In the kitchen you will find the washer and dryer. The one bathroom includes his and her sinks, large jacuzzi tub, toilette and dual shower heads, towels, and plenty of space for your toiletries. The bathroom is connected to the master bedroom and can also be accessed by the hallway. The master bedroom comes with a large wood dresser, queen size bed and lots of closest space (hangers included). The second bedroom is used as an office currently and does include a small pull out sofa (most comfortable for one person) and closet. In the living room enjoy a comfortable couch, love seat, large flat screen TV (with cable and DVR), DVD player, an assortment of DVDs and Wi-Fi. The dining room includes dinning room table, seating for at least six people: four upholstered chairs and bench. directly outside the dining room is the large backyard with patio table, chairs and BBQ pit! You have off street parking directly in front of the house. Otherwise there is plenty of room for free parking on the street. There are coffee shops and restaurants nearby. The house is located 1 mile from St. Charles Ave and the street car and is centrally located to easily access downtown and other parts of Uptown New Orleans in minutes. Public transportation is available, there are 2 bus stations within a few blocks, one on Esplanade Ave the other on Broad Ave connecting to the French Quarter and the street cars. Beds: 2 Full-size beds, 1 fold-out couch Kitchen: Microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker. 2-plate counter top stove, no oven! Pots and pans etc. Air-conditioners in both rooms and kitchen. Ceiling fan in the Master Bedroom. Gas heater in the 2nd room, also space-heaters if necessary. I live in the back of the house, accessed through side entrance. The connecting door between the front and back of house is locked from both sides for complete privacy. Since I live all the way in the back of the house and the bedrooms of the rental are in the front of the house there is no need to worry about noise, music etc. My pets roam in the yard and back apartment so if you decide to open the side door to the yard... expect some dog kisses. They are friendly but an introduction to get to know them would be good if you like to spend time outside.
