Description:Jazzfest special, the house will be available at a weekly commitment only of this time period the rental will be for either April 25 - May 1 for $1600 or May 3-May 8 for $1750. the rental will include a one time cleaning and the use of 4 bicycles with locks. the rental is for the entire week without regard as to how often it is used for the sake of simplicity. Unique shotgun house, open-style free-standing home that I've renovated and carefully developed over the past several decades. The house is close to the French Quarter and Marigny, but feels like your own private paradise. Extensive garden which gives one the feeling of the country while being in the heart of the neighborhood. Enjoy the screened porch for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails, hear the birds and the occasional boat off the river a block away, church bells tell the time and you can leave it all behind. Amenities include full kitchen, securely locked doors, wireless internet, spacious garden with outdoor sitting area, easy parking on a quiet street, all linens and cleaning service provided twice weekly, tv but no cable, laundry facilities on premises. The great room is a multipurpose with dining area and antique double bed (considered one of the bedrooms with attached 1/2 bath). Master bedroom has a queen size bed with full bathroom. The erotic nature of some of the art makes the house geared towards adults only. Come and enjoy one of the most vital neighborhoods in the city, where classic architecture meets hipster chic all mixed with a healthy dose of fun. An easy cab or bike ride to the French Quarter or Frenchman St. ( the locals music Mecca). Walking is approx. 15 min. and a great experience on a nice day. Just steps from the front door you can be at a multitude of coffee shops, bookstores, yoga studios, restaurants, bars, and music venues with a few galleries and theaters thrown in. This fully furnished apartment includes a yard, and allows guests to readily access parade routes (in fact, it is on some Mardi Gras parade routes)! Location is great, being near Audubon park, Tulane and Loyola Universities, the famous Camellia's Grill, Magazine Street, the Garden District and just a streetcar ride away to the French Quarter! Please let us know if you have any questions, we would love to host you! We are open to families, romantic getaways, and college vacations. Pets are welcome. We are NOT in the flood zone. In addition to being near the streetcar, we are also within walking distance to the taxi line! Also includes: coffee maker, dishwasher, NEW matching appliances, jacuzzi, firepit, outdoor dining furniture, BBQ grill, cable TV to watch on a flat screen TV, wifi, french doors, front porch, and fireplace. Review from February 2012: Great location and even better landlord - Simone was the most up beat and friendly renter I've encountered. She was there waiting for us, on time, just as we had arranged. She had a welcome packet with resturants, things to do, and even walked us to see where the Street Car, buses, and taxi's picked up. - The home was in great shape, comfortable beds, and a cozy, welcome home feel. The kitchen was fully stocked with spices, coffee maker, and all the dishes you'd need. - The location to the French Quarter is perfect, a 20 minute bus ride, a 20 dollar taxi ride, or a 15 minute street car ride. We didn't have to drive our entire stay. - The neighborhood was very quiet, relaxed, and beautiful to sit on the porch and drink some wine. - I would refer this house to anyone going to New Orleans for a stay. - The only downfall was we took our Wii to play, but there weren't any tv's in the rental. As the fist renters, it wasn't a big deal, just a suggestion for the future. (As a note from lessor, there is now a TV in the house!)
