We are native New Orleanians who love to share our City and work hard to ensure our guests have a great New Orleans experience. Our Historic classic New Orleans raised home is only 3 blocks to the Main Gate of Jazz Festival. Very centrally located - 28 blocks to the Mississippi River, 16 blocks to French Quarter/Marigny and 12 blocks to City Park, Bayou St.John. Our neighborhood is wonderful - a nexus where Esplanade Rdige/Treme meets the Fairgrounds, Faubourg St.John and the edge of Mid City. Many New Orleans musicians live in our neighborhood. Ultimate Jazz Fest experience for those who love to be at the Fest - no waiting in lines or paying for shuttles, taxis or parking! Wake up at your leisure, sit on your front porch planning your day then walk 3 blocks. Come home early or stay 'til the last note knowing it's just a short walk home. One off street parking space is included in the rental. Parking is a premium around here during Jazz Festival. If you have more than 1 vehicle, we have a system that works pretty well. No vehicle? No problem - 2 public transit lines nearby, taxi to most places $8 -$15. Many restaurants, coffeehouses, wine store, book store, record store, pharmacies, and neighborhood groceries within walking distance. The apartment is lovely and comfortable with many amenities. It's a sunny, comfortable one bedroom with a lot of room to spread out. The particulars: • Five minute walk to either Magazine St. bus or the historic St. Charles streetcar to the French Quarter. JazzFest is a half-hour away by bicycle. • About 1,000 square feet, not counting a front porch ideal for morning coffee or afternoon cocktail. It's the front half of a two-unit 1905 shotgun home. • Large living room and dining area kitchen, private bedroom (not the typical shotgun walk-through), small bathroom with tub & shower combo. • On a lovely side street a few blocks from St. James Cheese, the Prytania Theater, Whole Foods, Upperline and Creole Creamery. • Has a double bed in the bedroom (full, not queen), plus a day bed/trundle bed in the living room that could sleep an additional two people. • Sorry: no smoking, no pets. • Mostly suitable for two people, but could accommodate four. • In a quiet neighborhood with families close by on both sides, so a lousy place for parties.
