A true taste of REAL New Orleans! Stay in our spacious beautifully furnished Bywater 150 year old Creole Cottage. Very charming! 12 foot ceilings, hardwood floors etc. Living room has a futon that converts to a large single bed. Bedroom has a comfy, queen sized bed, full kitchen and full bath. Wireless Internet. Our home is right next door so if you need anything let us know! On street parking with a lovely park right across the street! On peak season rentals (Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest etc.), we prefer a four night minimum. Easy 15 minute walk to all the music and clubs on Frenchman Street. 20 minute walk to French Quarter. 2 minute walk to numerous coffee shops, restaurants, bars, 24-hour grocery store, etc. Also right around the corner from the always entertaining Country Club - a restaurant/bar with a POOL! There is also a laundry mat in walking distance. There is a bus line right on our corner. It's an easy walk/bike ride to almost everything that we never even use the bus. Description:Brand new, barely lived in loft apartment. High ceilings, 1050 square feet with a mezzanine: includes open kitchen common area, separate rooms for laundry and bathroom, walk-in closet, and bedroom. The apartment building is located right on the Mississippi River and has a lovely roof area with nice views of the city. There's also a pool/orange grove/grill area that opens this week. The building is fun and unique residents are largely the creative and entrepreneurial type. Amenities also include free newspapers, wireless internet, free dry-cleaning pickup and delivery, and tight security. Off-street parking is easily available parking in the private parking lot is an additional fee (charged by the building). A restaurant will open up in the building in the next couple of months, too, and they will offer room service to the apartments. The apartment is right on the border of the Bywater and Marigny neighborhoods. You’ll be in walking distance to many yummy restaurants, art galleries, a food co-op, bars, yoga, and Frenchmen Street. The beginning of the French Quarter is 4/5ths of a mile away. Between your feet and your fingertips you should have everything you want -- All the basics you might need - detergents, towels, sheets, blankets, coffee, tea, cream, eggs, oatmeal, milk, etc. - will be provided. Hollygrove Market and Farm will deliver a box of in-season, locally grown fruits and vegetables ($28), fresh eggs, and/or milk twice weekly if you’re interested, too. I'll provide a list and map with all this info, recommendations, etc. Now more about my loft! - It has nice new appliances. The kitchen has standard appliances plus a juicer (if you don't already have one, you're going to want to get one after using mine)! The rest of the common area features a trundle daybed (with two twin size Temper-Pedic beds), large desk, all-in-one wireless printer, dining cabinet, two tables – one I use as a dining table, the other for my art/creative stuff among a few other items. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower with great water pressure. Each apartment has its own hot water heater so hot water never runs out. The large walk-in closet and bedroom are located upstairs. The queen size bed in the bedroom is very comfortable! Because I recently moved in, the place may look a little different when you arrive than from the pictures... I plan on doing some decorating and maybe rearranging some furniture. Any which way, it'll be nice :)

Description:My charming Uptown/University apartment is located in a great part of the city, easily accessible to the Zoo, Audubon Park, and the Tulane and Loyola campuses, and within a 10 min drive (or 30min Streetcar ride) to the French Quarter, Marigny and Downtown. The apt features 3 independent bedrooms, as well as two full sized sofa beds in the living room. There are two master bedrooms which are furnished with ultra soft, pillow top queen beds and the third bedroom is furnished and decorated for kids, with two twin beds, making it a great family rental. There is off street parking for three cars in the driveway. There are two bathrooms and one large kitchen. There is, however, no dining room, so you will likely be eating family style in the living room --just like you probably do at home? :-) Please note: The house has electric heaters and window a/c units. It does not have central air and heat. I have lived in the apt for several months and it has not been a problem for me on cold or hot days, but I wanted to mention it in case it is an issue for my guests. The neighborhood features one of the hottest restaurant boulevards in the city. In the past year we have had 10 new restaurant openings, and you can walk to all of them all from my house which is located a half a block off Freret. Thenewfreret (). The St. Charles Ave streetcar is 6 blocks south. There is a dog park and playground across the street and the neighborhood is very walkable. Audubon park is a 1.5mile walk and the Tulane and Loyola campuses are about the same distance. Rates are higher during the Labor Day weekend, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve, Sugar Bowl, Mardi Gras, Final Four, FQ Fest, Jazz Fest, Essence Fest and special events, so please contact me for holiday rates and availability.

Description:Located in Northwest Carrollton, this apartment is 10 minutes from the French Quarter by car, 8 blocks from the streetcar line, 4 blocks from the bus, and 4 blocks from the world famous Rock 'n Bowl bar/bowling lane/and New Orleans music venue. Close to the uptown universities (Loyola and Tulane) and the restaurants and shops of the Riverbend. Located in the lower half of owner-occupied residence. It has a shower in the bathroom, free wireless, kitchen, living room, bedroom with double bed. On-street parking. Quiet neighborhood. Very clean. Secure with wrought iron fence and locked gate. Regular rates are $60/night with minimum 2 night stay. One-night stay is $100 for one person/$110 for two persons. $100 for special events, Mardi Gras, and Jazz Fest. June and July are usually available by the month only, unless special arrangements are made. Rotating street view photos were taken during post-Katrina reconstruction. FEMA trailer and construction materials are now gone, landscaping is completed, and the street is back to pre-Katrina shape. Here's some more information from the owner and a recent renter: Unless you have a car, you’ll probably need to take public transport to get to the more interesting neighborhoods further east (French Quarter, Treme, the Bywater, Faubourg Marigny). Nearby, however, is the world famous Rock ‘n’ Bowl Lanes, a mere four blocks away, with incredible local music every night of the week. The Olde College Inn Restaurant is next door to the Lanes, and Mikimoto Restaurant (Japanese) is two blocks further up Carrollton Avenue. Another neighborhood, Riverbend, with many restaurants and one of the best music venues in town (the Maple Leaf Bar on Oak Streeet) is about 25 minutes away by foot, down Carrollton Avenue toward the Mississippi River. The buses run every 30 or 60 minutes so you have to plan to get out in time. The buses take about 25 minutes to get downtown. The streetcar ride to downtown is scenic but 35 minutes—and takes longer at this moment because the final stretch is currently being repaired. The buses also don’t run late—though the streetcar does. The taxi at night ran about $17 to the French Quarter.
