About the place: The main entrance to City Park is only 2 blocks away, the Canal Street Car is 5 blocks away, the fairgrounds a 10 minute walk and the french quarter is less than 10 minutes away by car. The house has wireless internet, an extraordinary, knowledgeable host, and a charming porch where you can enjoy breakfast/ watching neighbors walk their dogs in a neighborhood which probably has the nation's highest per capita concentration of pet owners! The house is very quiet and the owner is trying to get into medical school, so he can definitely use the extra income. I know you'll have a great stay here and in case you were wondering yes, that is a giant metal pelican eating a fish that you see in the background in the hallway!

This house is BIG and really nice and comfortable. Walking distance to Audubon Park, Tulane and Loyola Universities, Or just take the streetcar anywhere, including jazzfest and the french quarter! Well appointed home walk to restaurants, bars and the famous oak street corridor and maple street corridor which is three blocks away. Oak Street corridor has many great shops, bars and famous restaurants and venues. Rebirth Brass Band plays every tuesday at the Maple Leaf. World class restaurants such as: jaques imo, the oak bar, true burger, cowbell, squeal, ninja, ONE, Camellia grill, Jazmine, Louisiana Pizza Kitchen, Mat n Naddies, Brightsens and so many more. Walk to Maple Street Corridor, restaurants like: babylon, cote sud, maple street cafe, cafe fresca, and bars like historic Brunos. Historic home with all the amenities, gym in house. There are two king beds, one queen bed, three small full beds, and two large full sized beds. Plenty of room for guests to bring air matresses if needed. Three story home with THREE laundry facilities. There are original hardwood floors on the first and second floor, there is carpet on the third floor bedrooms and tile in the third floor bath. The third floor has two bedrooms and one full bath. The THIRD floor is not formal, it's been housing for our teenagers for years, so it's not hotel perfect Large backyard, great balcony and front porch. Chef's kitchen, commercial Imperial Stove, Turbo Air Refrigerator all stainless. Cable TV, wireless internet, woodburning fireplace. First two floors are large open spaces with large rooms. Master bathroom is dated but has jacuzzi tub, new toilet and lots of counter space and storage. Third floor suite has two bedrooms and one bathroom, each bedroom has large dormer windows that open to the treetops. This home is on a corner lot with a very large front yard with a 200 year old oak tree that shades the front yard and makes it very pleasant to sit outside on the porch or balcony. The backyard is basic, but is large. There plenty of room to run around and most dogs are okay. This is an old (historic) house with most of the rooms fully updated, but there are some spaces that are dated. It's a large family home great for jazzfest, mardi gras, weddings (due to the amazing large yard) and any type of fun New Orleans gathering. Description:Brand new, barely lived in loft apartment. High ceilings, 1050 square feet with a mezzanine: includes open kitchen common area, separate rooms for laundry and bathroom, walk-in closet, and bedroom. The apartment building is located right on the Mississippi River and has a lovely roof area with nice views of the city. There's also a pool/orange grove/grill area that opens this week. The building is fun and unique residents are largely the creative and entrepreneurial type. Amenities also include free newspapers, wireless internet, free dry-cleaning pickup and delivery, and tight security. Off-street parking is easily available parking in the private parking lot is an additional fee (charged by the building). A restaurant will open up in the building in the next couple of months, too, and they will offer room service to the apartments. The apartment is right on the border of the Bywater and Marigny neighborhoods. You’ll be in walking distance to many yummy restaurants, art galleries, a food co-op, bars, yoga, and Frenchmen Street. The beginning of the French Quarter is 4/5ths of a mile away. Between your feet and your fingertips you should have everything you want -- All the basics you might need - detergents, towels, sheets, blankets, coffee, tea, cream, eggs, oatmeal, milk, etc. - will be provided. Hollygrove Market and Farm will deliver a box of in-season, locally grown fruits and vegetables ($28), fresh eggs, and/or milk twice weekly if you’re interested, too. I'll provide a list and map with all this info, recommendations, etc. Now more about my loft! - It has nice new appliances. The kitchen has standard appliances plus a juicer (if you don't already have one, you're going to want to get one after using mine)! The rest of the common area features a trundle daybed (with two twin size Temper-Pedic beds), large desk, all-in-one wireless printer, dining cabinet, two tables – one I use as a dining table, the other for my art/creative stuff among a few other items. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower with great water pressure. Each apartment has its own hot water heater so hot water never runs out. The large walk-in closet and bedroom are located upstairs. The queen size bed in the bedroom is very comfortable! Because I recently moved in, the place may look a little different when you arrive than from the pictures... I plan on doing some decorating and maybe rearranging some furniture. Any which way, it'll be nice :)
