Description:PERFECT FOR JAZZ FEST and FRENCH QUARTER FEST! One bedroom shotgun apartment in lovely Bayou St. John and City Park neighborhood! This is one of the safest neighborhoods in the city. There is one private bedrooom and a third room with an extra couch in back (back room is private but off the bedroom). There is a nice size living room with big, comfy couch and flat screen tv, a dining area with bistro table, and a nice size kitchen perfect for cooking while entertaining. Perfect for two but can sleep four. A full size bed sleeps two and two more can sleep on the couches in the LR and the back room. It has a lovely front porch for enjoying the South's favorite pastime and is walking distance to the bayou, fairgrounds, City Park, restaurants, coffee shops, bars and even a wine shop and farmer's market! The neighborhood is safe and sweet and easily accessible to every part of the city-truly a gorgeous Nola area! You can also rent kayaks and this website has great information on the neighborhood- It is a straight shot to the quarter- you can drive 5 minutes or take the street car 2 blocks away, which is fun. Please note the price is higher during Jazz Fest. Check the calendar for rates please. Thanks for looking you will LOVE New Orleans!! FYI-those of you new to New Orleans, there are MANY places listed on this site in unsafe neighborhoods, and renters who list them as walking distance when there is no way locals would walk, esp. at night- please check the neighborhoods listed and do your research- this is a city where you MUST know where you are- then you will have a fabulous, safe and amazing time!

Description:Located in the Bywater neighborhood of New Orleans. This is a Shotgun, porch, 4 room, one bathroom, plus kitchen. 12 ft. ceilings, hardwood floors, fireplace mantels, 2 closets, pantry, 2 window unit air conditioners, kitchen with gas stove and refrigerator. Washer and Dryer in shed. The setup is a two room double parlor in the front, the bathroom in the middle, two rooms in the back and then the kitchen at the rear of the house. The unit has its own washer and dryer in the shed. The house is set back from the street with iron gates in the front yard. Furnished with one king size bed and one full size sleeper sofa. Note: This a New Orleans shotgun, which means you must walk through the bedrooms to get to the kitchen in the back of the house and to the bathroom in the middle of the house. We live, right next door on the other side. Willing to consider well behaved pets. A 5 minute bike ride to the Marigny, 10 minute bike ride to the French Quarter. (Note: We do not currently have guest bikes available, but there are many nearby bicycle rental shops.) This property is located across the street from the Shake Sugary Bakery that is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 4pm. It is also across the street from the Sankofa Farmer's Market held every Saturday from 10am - 2pm. About Bywater: Bywater is an artsy and ecclectic neighborhood just minutes from the French Quarter. Bywater Restaurants: The Joint BBQ, Patrick Dempsey's Seafood, Bachannal Wine (has live music), Elizabeth's, Satsuma, Suis Generis, Maurepas Foods, Jims Sandwich Shop, and Sugar Park Pizza. Bars in Bywater: Vaughan's Lounge (Kermit Ruffins plays here on Thursday nights), BJs, JJs, Markey's, The Country Club, and Bud Rip's. Description:As the title says, my space is one block from Saint Charles Street, which is exactly where you want to be! Saint Charles is where all the parades pass and provides easy access to the street car and cabs. The Street car takes about ten minutes to bourbon street and is $1.25 (exact change only) or take a cab for about $10. Also I'm walking distance to the Garden District and the shops / restuarants on magazine street. I have HD Satellite TV, Coffee maker, Queen Bed, Wi-Fi, and GATED PARKING!

Sorry to put this up top but I've had several confused people message with questions. Now on to the nice part... Live like a local in your own New Orleans cottage! Located in the popular, historical Marigny district, charming “Burgundy Cottage” is the guest quarters behind our home with a private entrance through the central courtyard. Built in 1830, it is comfortably furnished and can sleep six. The bedroom has a double bed, the loft (reachable by wrought iron spiral staircase) has 2 twin beds, and the high vaulted ceiling living area has a day bed with a pull-out trundle. There are two full baths, a washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, cable TV and high speed Internet access. We also have adjustable central heat and air conditioning and ceiling fans to keep you comfortable. The hustle and bustle of the French Quarter and its attractions are just blocks away to the left. To the right, enjoy nightlife on trendy Frenchman Street with its jazz clubs, bars and restaurants, a popular destination for locals on Mardi Gras. There is plenty of street parking, but all main attractions are within walking distance. For the first time visitor to NOLA, you can’t pick two more accommodating hosts than the Sinclairs. We’ll give you the inside information on the best places to eat, drink, watch parades and enjoy the festivities. It’s not all Bourbon Street by a long shot. New Orleans is much more than one neighborhood or one street. That’s why we love it here! Come spend Mardi Gras with us in the middle of it all. We have been doing short-term rentals for years but this is our first listing on AirB&B. References can be provided upon request. Please note: We have a large friendly dog who spends time in the courtyard. We prefer to rent to ages 30 or families.

Description:I have a 3 BD/2BA apartment home in the most historical part of the French Quarter. The balcony overlooks Jackson Square. It is walking distance to all things French Quarter and Downtown New Orleans. Cable TV. Sleeps 8 very comfortably, but can def sleep 10 if necessary. Temperpedic mattress and literally the most desired location in the French Quarter. Sleeping Arrangements: There are two King Size beds, one full size futon, two comfy couches suitable for sleeping on, and one queen air mattress. There is plenty of room for additonal air mattresses if you wish to bring your own along. Linens can be provided if you request them far in advance and based on where you are traveling from.
