Description:Located in a tropical rainforest, and on a quiet beach, this vacation beach house offers a close relationship to rainforest flora and fauna plus beachfront privacy at its best! Monkeys visit the property daily while macaws eat almonds in the treetops at eye-level from Casa Dos Rios. The house is lovingly hand-crafted by its owner, an American builder, and displays local area hardwoods. The floors are almond wood, the walls are teak, the rafters are monglio, the countertops are cristobal and the furniture is guanicaste. r n r nThe four bedrooms have queen beds with bamboo posts and 'no-see-um ' netting, and the house is well-ventilated with many windows and a breezeway. We attended to airflow with a cupola and large openings all around the house. The open-air porch downstairs is complete with hammocks for your relaxation, and the kitchen and living room were positioned to take advantage of the lovely view to the water. r n r nEnjoy the natural wonders just outside the windows - the local wildlife includes four kinds of monkeys, toucans, macaws, sloths, blue morpho butterflies and iguanas to name a few. Mature trees feature fresh fruit including guava,bananas,mangos,papayas,coconut,cacao, and avacados. The beautiful landscaping of our grounds can be viewed from the house or by strolling the paths that lead to the beach just a few yards away from the house. The property is located between two rivers. The closest river provides a refreshing pool of sparkling clear gurgling water for your enjoyment after swimming and surfing. r n r nThe casa is totally off the grid, with solar power, well water, and propane tanks for cook-stoves and hot-water heaters. Our on-demand hot water is available in sinks and showers. We have walk-in showers and deluxe linens for your comfort. r n r nKim and Melanie Norman, the owners, are now the on-site managers of the property. Because we care about the quality of your experience while renting Casa Dos Rios, we are available to assist you with all arrangements before and during your stay. Everything from booking local tours to providing a stocked refrigerator upon arrival is available. We now also offer individualized cooking services, as well as special classes. We also have a horse-shoe pit. r n* 19â,€,™, X 32â,€,™, yoga deck under roof is provided above the manager house. r n* Hammocks are on site in two locations, and there are extras for taking to the beach. r n* Beach towels are available upon request. r n* Beach chairs and a game table are also on-site. r n* Games and cards as well as a limited number of books are provided. r n* The kitchen is very well equipped for those who enjoy the culinary arts. r n* The large dining table seats eight people comfortably, and there are swivel stools around a large island for four additional diners. r n* Some herbs and spices for cooking are grown on-site. r n* Many different fruit trees grow on the property, and there is usually something ripe and ready for you to pick and enjoy. r n* The beach in front of the house has a nice shady palm area where hammocks can be strung, or a fire-pit can be made and enjoyed. r n* There is a fresh-water river close by for wading and rinsing in a 2-3 foot deep clear, cool water lagoon, or for small children to enjoy the water without disturbance by waves. The green clay found here is very beneficial to the skin when used as a mud mask. r n* The beach in front of our house is excellent for swimming, fishing, surfing, kayaking, boogie-boarding, or just exploration. The house faces East so the sunrise at the beach is a â,€,œ,must seeâ,€,,. r n* A restaurant for lunch and dinner meals is right down the lane from Casa Dos Rios and the food is excellent, prepared by German owner, Martina. r n r n
